Kirsty Hale Viera, PsyD, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology-Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA. She completed her post-doctoral residency at Kaiser-Vallejo working with children, teens and adults with a broad range of challenges. Dr. Viera spent the first 5 years of her career working for Kaiser’s Intensive Outpatient Program in Santa Rosa and also briefly co-facilitated the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program. She then spent 8 years working at Santa Rosa Community Health as therapist, group facilitator and manager. For the last two years she helped to launch the Behavioral Health Program in Primary Care at Sutter Health in Sonoma County. She is currently working at Santa Rosa Junior College as a supervisor and coordinator of the training program and has a private practice. 

Dr. Viera’s professional interests include the intersection of social justice and mental health work in communities. She enjoys teaching and supervising graduate students and works from a integrative Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Relational and Mindfulness approach with ongoing learning and practice in Decolonizing and Liberation work. 

In her personal life, Kirsty enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer in Santa Rosa, hiking, travel, and live music. She is originally from the East Coast, but has spent the majority of her adult life in Northern California.
