QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer

Monday, September, 22 | 3:00 PM - 4:30PM

 Plover Hall, Room 530

Learn how to make a life-saving difference in just one hour. QPR — Question, Persuade, Refer — is an evidence-based suicide prevention method that teaches participants to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis, offer hope, and connect someone to professional help.

Just like CPR for the heart, QPR is an emergency intervention for the mind. This Gatekeeper training empowers parents, friends, teachers, neighbors, and community members to step in when someone is at risk.

In this training, you will learn to:

  • Recognize the warning signs of suicide
  • Offer hope and support
  • Refer someone to help

Whether you’re a family member, coworker, or community leader, QPR equips you with practical skills to save lives. Join us and be part of the chain of survival.
