Omar Vasquez, PsyD, CMPC

SPORT PSYCHOLOGY POSTDOC

Omar Vasquez, PsyD, CMPC, received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University’s School of Professional Psychology in Louisville, KY. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Oklahoma working within the OU Athletic Department, where he supported student-athletes, coaches, teams, and support staff to improve sport performance and well-being. Prior to completing his doctorate, Omar earned his Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Boston University, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at UC Berkeley. Omar has vast experience working with collegiate student-athletes with both clinical and sport performance related challenges. Omar is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).

Outside of work, Omar enjoys watching movies, especially comedies, watching sports, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his dog, Rambo.
