Martha is a Medical Assistant providing front office support and supervision at the SRJC Student Health Services Department. She also graduated from SRJC’s Psychiatric Technician Program in 1985. Martha worked as a Psychiatric Technician for 12 years at Sonoma Developmental Center before becoming a Medical Assistant certified in front and back office and licensed by the State of California.

Martha worked previously for Student Health Services as their first Medical Assistant for 7 years before moving to Arizona. There she found fulfillment working with cancer patients at Palo Verde Hematology and Oncology. She then went on to become a Team Assistant at the nation’s largest nonprofit hospice, Hospice of the Valley. She felt privileged to assist these patients and family members at such a critical and tender time in their lives.

After returning to Sonoma County, she was fortunate enough to be able to return to SRJC Student Health Services Department as their front office Medical Assistant. “Returning to Student Health Services nearly three years ago has been a dream come true. Being able to serve the diverse population at SRJC is something I take great pride in. I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with!”
